Nur obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom in 2009. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in November 2012. Thereafter, she was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Brunei in December 2013.

Starting off in corporate law and corporate secretarial work, Nur’s practice has grown to include civil advisory work in various areas such as regulatory matters, capital markets, public health (food) and food labelling, insurance, tax, immigration and labour, intellectual property, technology, telecommunications and broadcasting, and data protection. In addition to this, she specialises in patent and trade mark matters and is currently a member of the ASEAN Intellectual Property Association Council.
